Design and Display

OnePlus 6T in terms fo design looks familiar to its family and isn’t much different except few changes. The body is glass on both the front and back of the device, and you’ve got the choice of two colors: mirror black or midnight black.

On the right-hand of the phone there is power on/off button, and above that is the signature  OnePlus slider that allows you to mute your phone without any doing many changes. While the left-hand edge of the device is the volume rocker. As we mentioned in the title, NO 3.5 mm Jack anymore and the bottom has an only USB-C port, accompanied by two speakers for stereo audio.

That’s a change which is being opted by the smartphone industry and no need to be shocked as they have included 3.5mm to USB-C adapter in the box so you can still plug in your wired headphones.

OnePlus 6T features a 6.41″ Optic AMOLED display with resolution 2340 x 1080 pixels and 402 pixels per inch. This time the notch is much smaller like tiny water droplet which gives the smartphone an 86% screen to the body ratio with 19.5″9 aspect ratio. It has 2.5D Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6 for display protection.

In-display FIngerprint Sensor

Hidden under the display, you will find new in-screen fingerprint sensor. Screen Unlock uses a unique mix of software and hardware components to ensure it works perfectly with the OnePlus 6T. As per the company “Over time, the OnePlus 6T will learn to recognize your fingerprint”.

Processor and Performance

OnePlus 6T runs Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845 Mobile Platform Octa core having the clock speed up to 2.8GHz with AIE. The phone has Adreno 630 with 6/8GB RAM for better graphics and other task performance. As per the company ” New software algorithms work with your room to ensure faster startup speeds by actively preloading your favorite apps”.

Camera and Storage

As it has a small water droplet size notch which is 16MP selfie camera with a flash while its rear camera has dual lens setup of 16MP+20MP both of having the f/1.7 aperture. The OnePlus 6T has new features like:

• Intelligent scene recognition: Detects what’s in the frame and adjusts the brightness, contrast, saturation, and more to help you create the perfect image.
• Nightscape: Light up the night with New Nightscape technology. Artifacts are cleared up and highlight exposed to help you capture more detailed city shots after sunset.
• Studio lighting: Studio lighting uses advanced face detection and superior edge detection to dynamically tone shadows and highlights on the subject’s face, giving you stunning portraits with a tap of the shutter.
• Slow Motion: At 480 frames per second, you can use super slow-mo to capture the action frame-by-frame in astonishing detail. Videos are simply stunning, whether you record them in slow-mo or in 4K at 60 FPS.

OnePlus 6T has three variants, 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB of RAM with 256GB storage.

Connectivity and Battery

The OnePlus 6T is powered by a 3700 mAh (non-removable) with Fast Charging (5V 4A) technology. With the help of fast charging technology, you do not have to wait much for your phone to get charged.

OnePlus 6T is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone supports  Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4G/5G, NFC enabled, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, USB OTG, Micro-USB, etc. Sensors on the phone include In-display Fingerprint Sensor, Hall, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, RGB Ambient Light Sensor, Electronic Compass, Sensor Core.

OS and Pricing

The OnePlus 6T will ship with Google’s Android Pie OS out of the box, which will come with the firm’s barely-there OxygenOS skin on top.

Price of OnePlus 6T for the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant US cost is $549. For the 8GB+128GB variant cost $579 , and for 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant cost is $629. The smartphone will be available from November 1 in North America and November 6 in Europe.
