Asus Zenfone 3 which is the successor of Asus Zenfone 2 is in the process of development. Asus Zenfone 2 was launched in 2015 and was the first smartphone of Asus which features 4GB RAM. Two version of Zenfone 2 was launched from which first was having 2 GB of RAM at the cost of US$199 and second was 4 GB RAM at the price US$299. Taiwan-based company has already started implementing new features and development of Asus Zenfone 3.
According to a report by Digitimes, Asus Zenfone 3 which is upcoming smartphone will have fingerprint sensor which is developed by Taiwan-based Elan Microelectronics and China-based Goodix and special thing about Zenofone 3 is that it will be the first Zenfone to get a fingerprint scanner. Another news that arrived is that Asus Zenfone 3 will be launched in the month of May or June in 2016.
Asus Zenfone 3 will sport a Type-C USB port and this feature is also for the first time will be available in Zenfone. Asus will also launch its smartphones in newer markets such as Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Egypt, and Nigeria. “As Goodix, Elan, and other Taiwan-based IC design house, such as Egis Technology and FocalTech Systems, have stepped up development of fingerprint recognition sensors, prices for such ICs have been dropping, and may fall to US$5 per IC in 2016,” the sources said.
Many other rumors are travelling in the market about the specification of Asus Zenfone 3 but still it is not confirmed what exact specification it will going to have but it will great be to see if Asus Zenfone 3 will have fingerprint sensor then it will be the first smartphone of Zenfone series to do so and they will try to expand their business by selling more units in other countries as the company anticipates 2016 shipments to be at least 30 million units.
