No More Smartphones from BlackBerry- A Big Move



It is in line of smartphones from a long generation and and also worked in services designed. The very first device was the [email protected] Pager 900, a clamshell-type device that allowed two-way paging, announced on September 18, 1996.

After the success of the 900, the [email protected] Pager 800 was created for IBM, which bought US$10 million worth of them on February 4, 1998. The next device to be released was the [email protected] Pager 950, on August 26, 1998.

The very first device to carry the company name was the BlackBerry 850, an email pager, released January 19, 1999. Although identical in appearance to the 950, the 850 was the first device to integrate email and the name [email protected] Pager was no longer used to brand the device.

BlackBerry is the first company to bring smartphones with beautiful keyboards, trackballs, and trackpad which you will see no more in smartphones as Company has announced that it will stop making hardware internally.


Chen said in a statement that “We are reaching an inflection point with our strategy”.  According to the BlackBerry financial report it is reveled during its second-quarter report, in which its revenue of $352 million which faced a drop of more than 30 percent as compared to the previous year. Second-quarter sales of the device dipped to 400,000. In ts latest quarter, Apple sold 40.4 million iPhones.

It is clear that production of hardware from BlackBerry is no more but that doesn’t mean you can’t feel the BlackBerry as they will continue to work on Software, apps and many other side of software field.
